All of 3rd grade classes at Carleigh's school had an extravaganza for the book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Each student was encouraged to dress up as a character from the book. Carleigh decided to dress up as Veruca Salt, the snotty girl that gets everything she wants and is spoiled rotten. As her mother, I can vouch that she is nothing like her character, but there were only 2 girls in the movie and the other character had blonde hair and loved chewing gum and put her gum behind her ear. YUCK! We rolled Carleigh's hair in sponge curlers last night and she slept in them. We dressed as much like the character as we could. She looked precious. We walked into the school this morning and her teachers knew right away who she was. Oh - I failed to mention that Veruca has an British accent. Carleigh loved it and practiced it well.
