The State's BBQ Festival was last weekend. Our friends, Rion and Susan DeMars met us there with their two girls, Rebekah and Hannah. There were kiddie rides, face painting, funnel cakes, snow cones, and an afternoon shower. IT WAS HOT! My favorite part of the food was the roasted corn. They roast the ears in the shuck and then dip in butter. It was so good! This fun day reminded me so much of the kiddie carvival in Athens, AL that Grandaddy used to take Trent and I to. The swings, the train, etc. Oh how he would have loved my girls! I pray I leave that kind of impression on my family and friends and they have the same fond memories that I do from my childhood!
